We Exist – Trans Documentary 10 Episode Series With Isley Reust
We always want positive exposure for our transgender community, something that sheds light on the mostly happy and fulfilling lives that us transgender male & females live after transition. A new documentary is about to hit the screens focusing on the lives of transgender people.
Aptly titled ‘We Exist’; a 10 episode documentary series by Isley Reust which consists of 22 minute episodes.
Daily and everyday lives of trans men and women are largely viewed by the general public as being unconventional
The first series (season 1) focuses on the lives of transgender men and women who serve in law enforcement, the armed forces, fire rescue, and in various areas of the medical field. Each episode showcases a new person in a new town as Ms. Reust travels the globe, interviewing these remarkable men and women, while capturing their stories in addition to sharing their daily lives.
We Exist does a great job in highlighting the daily and everyday lives of trans men and women who are largely viewed by the general public as being unconventional, and in this series conversely demonstrate just how their acts greatly impact fellow citizens.
In the first season the documentary spotlights San Diego’s own Christine Garcia, a police officer who risks her life every single day keeping the streets safe. Christine is also a big support to fellow transgender people where she offers her positive life lessons to help others make it through their own transitional issues and problems.
